I've tried other ways to get out of debt with no success. I found the debt snowball method presented by Ramsey to be the most inspiring because of the quick wins up front. In my case, I have a few cards with less than $5k owed. I know I can knock out almost all of them in 6 months with some hard work and some overtime!
