Watch those Pennies and the Dollars will take care of themselves

A little story I'll tell you about myself so you'll know where I'm coming from and why I call this "My Money Game". Many, many years ago being a teenage bride I had to watch every penny I spent...... One day we were driving along and I noticed a roadside vegetable stand with a 10# bag of potatoes for __ cents (no......I can't tell you the price I paid because that would really date me) all I could say is wow, that's cheap! I commented to the elderly man that was tending the stand "that is a great price on potatoes"! I think I caught him off guard a bit and he probably thought it odd to hear a young girl being so penny concious but I had to be. He kindly said to me, "You watch those pennies young lady and those dollars will take care of themselves" !!!!!. Now who in the world would think that little old man would make such a life changing effect on my spending habits but he truly did. Hummmm....I sure wish I could thank him today for that bit of advice.
